With a full and extremely packed weekend of all things food going on throughout the South Lakes town of Kendal, a day trip is not going to be enough at the Kendal Festival of Food.
Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of March 2016 will see various premises, businesses and streets lined with stalls and demonstrations celebrating all that is amazing about Cumbrian and North Country produce. After ever increasing excellent reviews and attendance figures year on year, this, the 7th Kendal Food Festival is set to be the biggest and best yet. New additions include an exciting edible garden in Wainwright’s Yard and at the Booths Café a Northern Spirit 2016 event with tastings, talks and masterclasses from of some of the region’s best distillers of which Cumbria and the Lake District are building quite a reputation for not just here but nationally and internationally.
The 7th two day festival has everything from pop up restaurants and events for the whole family such as special Family Festival Village and of course the edible garden. A Best of Cumbria Stage will be championing this highly food orientated and obsessed region and this year they’ll be even more delicacies to sample and buy from the very best producers throughout the north in the Great North Country Market event alongside.
