In November 2015, the Langdale Hotel & Spa embarked on a major but very tasty project.
Two of the hotel’s restaurants closed to make way for a new and exciting dining experience. Purdey’s and Hobson’s Bar have made way for Stove, due to open in February 2016.
Stove will be the main restaurant and bar on The Langdale Estate, an exciting prospect for the many guests to the Langdale Hotel, it’s timeshare an self catering properties and Brimstone Hotel.
Bringing the outside in and making the most of the estates grounds and heritage has been the focus in terms of design. They’ll be both indoor and outdoor seating, natural products and finishes, log burners and views over the estate’s modern an historic waterwheels. Areas of the restaurant will provide more intimate dining as well as an exciting chef’s table dining option.
Although this is a brand new space, Langdale’s ethos will still be the dominating factor, high quality, good value, locally sourced, tasty food. Head Chef Scott is busy preparing a selection of stand out dishes including a super sharing lamb shoulder. Lamb, one of the Lake District’s most famous products and one the chefs know is very popular with guests.
